PACKET PICK-UP & RACE-DAY REGISTRATION
Starting at 7 am on race day you can pick up your packet and/or register for the triathlon in the RFC lobby. You can participate in sprint or Olympic distances and choose to complete the race by yourself or with two or three other folks.
Sprint: Swim - 450 yards | Bike - 12 miles | Run - 5k
Olympic: Swim - 1100 yards | Bike - 19 miles | Run - 10k
SWIM
The Triathlon will kick off at 9 am at the RFC on the University of Minnesota-Morris campus where you’ll hit the 8-lane pool for either a 450-yard (Sprint) or 1-kilometer (Olympic) lap swim. Swimmers will share a lane with one to three other individuals so circle swimming is recommended. You can also expect to be placed with others who are of similar caliber.
BIKE
Next up you’ll be grabbing your bike and heading onto Highway 59 and 10 for a 12-mile (Sprint) or 19-mile (Olympic) course. Safety is important so be sure to bring your ANSI/Snell-approved cycling helmet.
RUN
See all the spring sights and smells during the last leg of the event through Pomme de Terre Park and the West Central Research Center. The Sprint course will be 5K while the Olympic will be 10K with both finishing at the RFC entrance area.
AWARDS & REFRESHMENTS
You earned it and now it’s time to celebrate with fellow competitors and refreshments in the RFC lobby. Enjoy coffee, bagels and, of course, your medal!
