Getting Outdoors in Morris
It’s starting to feel like spring, which means the outdoors are calling. Here are a few things you can do outside this spring during your stay in Morris!
Visit the Pomme de Terre Park
This park sits along the Pomme de Terre River and offers a great spot to walk the trails, kayak, have a picnic or just relax. The park is also part of the Barn Quilt Trail, which is a collection of 24 barn quilt displays at 14 locations across Stevens County. When the weather warms up the park’s splash pad offers a great way for the kids to cool off.
In addition to Pomme de Terre Park, Morris has several other parks to explore. Find them all here.
Watch the Sun Set at the Pomme de Terre Overlook
Up the hill near Pomme de Terre park is one of the best views in town—the Pomme de Terre Overlook. This area offers a spot to sit and take in the vast landscape of the nearby river and of course some incredible sunsets. In the summer the adjacent Horticulture Display Garden turns into a stunning walk-through exhibit of flora and fauna the whole family can enjoy.
