With your dorms rooms decked out and your new schedules in hand, we welcome you back to school and back to enjoying all that Morris, MN, has to offer. Between your visits to Imholte Hall and HFA, try these options for fun things to do on evenings and weekends.
Movies and Entertainment
Take a study break and visit The Morris Theatre for first-run movies, or The Platform for music and other shows. Or bring your A game to the bowling alley at the one and only Crystal Lanes and Entertainment Center.
Fitness and Recreation
There are many options for staying fit, enjoying the outdoors, and honing your skills in your favorite pastimes. Spend some time off-campus hiking, hunting, golfing, biking, or just watching the seasons change at local hot spots.
Relax and Calm
Feeling stressed over papers and tests? Treat yourself to a massage at spas like Natural Massage on 7th or Caring Touch Massage. Or get your downward dog on at local yoga centers like Empowered Living Company.
Where to Eat and Drink
When you’ve had enough of the grilled cheese bar from The Dining Hall, branch out to local Morris eateries. Check out our list of restaurants, lounges, and bars & grills that you have to try at least once!
Morris Area Parks
A huge perk of living in Morris is our surrounding parks and picnic areas. With amenities like canoeing, fishing, walking paths, and batting cages, our local parks are a great place for dates, studying, jogging, or just getting some alone time. In particular, visit the well-landscaped public gardens at the West Central Research and Outreach Center (WCROC) Horticulture Display Garden, a botanically beautiful project of the U of MN.
Whether you’re thrift shopping, fixing up your apartment, or looking for gifts, find the stores you need and get shopping in Morris!
We at Morris MN Tourism wish all U of MN Morris students a safe and productive school year, and hope you enjoy all that our local community has to offer.
